Kalido Reduces Total Cost of Ownership With Latest Release of Kalido Information Engine(TM)

New Support for Virtualization, 64-Bit and Multi-Instance Databases Enable More Configuration Options at Less Cost to Customers

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/19/08 -- TDWI World Summer, Booth #208 --

-- Kalido, the active information management company, today unveiled a new release of the core components of the Kalido Information Engine(TM). The new release includes enhancements that deliver significant cost and resource savings, while providing better information to more business users.

Total Cost of Ownership

-- Virtualization: New support for VMware enables customers to run Kalido in virtualized environments, allowing customers to:

- Outsource maintenance and administration,

- Manage Kalido remotely, and

- More efficiently use their computer resources.

-- Multi-Instance Support: With this release, Kalido will support the ability to run multiple Kalido instances within a single Oracle database, optimizing the number of databases companies need to purchase and maintain.

Data Governance and Stewardship

-- More Robust Data Validation: Productivity enhancements to the data stewardship and governance functions, such as the ability to validate a subset of master data, rather than the entire category, delivers simpler, more streamlined processing, saving resources and time.

Performance, Administration & Usability

-- 64-Bit Support: Kalido will now support 64-bit databases, enabling customers to take advantage of the greater processing power and throughput that such systems provide.

-- Improved Business Modeler: Changes to the Kalido Business Information Modeler(TM) deliver greater information at the top level, enabling business users to more quickly and easily identify, change and expand details about their business model.

-- Enhanced Management Capabilities: Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse(TM) and Kalido Master Data Management(TM) now provide users with greater control over physical database configuration, while improving security and enhancing object management capabilities.

-- Increased System Availability: Concurrent operation of processing-intensive tasks leverages existing processing investments on multi-processor hardware to reduce impact of multiple jobs, minimize administration effort and increase system availability.

Native BI Tool Support

-- QlikTech Integration: As previously announced, this release of the Kalido Dynamic Information Warehouse will include native support for popular business intelligence tool QlikView.

-- Microsoft BI Integration: First announced last month, the Kalido Universal Information Director(TM) now extends support to the Microsoft SQL Server® Analysis Services (SSAS) cubes and the more than 40 BI tools that can integrate with SSAS.
